Mossbourne Parkside Academy has stood on these same foundations for over 120 years, serving the children of Hackney Downs.

We are an academy of the community, for the community, and are very proud of our history and background in the East End of London. 

Mossbourne Parkside Academy has changed name and appearance over the years, and even survived devastating bombing during the Blitz– but throughout all of this, it has remained a cornerstone of the local area. We take pride in serving our diverse and vibrant families as a member of Mossbourne Federation. 

MPA is one of a group of academies arising from the realisation of Sir Clive Bourne’s dream to provide the children of Hackney with an outstanding education. Mossbourne Parkside Academy follows a formula of high expectations and doing the simple things right, holding the belief that all children can and will succeed. Our calm working atmosphere helps to create well-rounded pupils who excel academically, in the arts, and on the sporting field. 

I am honoured to be the Head of School to such a warm, lively and aspirational group of children, and I look forward to welcoming you to the academy in the near future.
