Our four academies in the Mossbourne Federation have been changing lives for 15 years. Our Mossbourne Community Academy is a state school in the top 1% of all schools in the country. We are now developing exciting plans in rowing, arts, medicine and the built environment to ensure that an excellent education and life-changing opportunities are available to everyone in our Hackney schools, regardless of their background.

Like all schools in England, Mossbourne has needed to be creative, flexible and caring towards pupils, parents and staff during the coronavirus crisis. We are pleased with the support we have been able to give and the commitment we have received in return, but we are now looking very firmly to the future and the post-Covid world. We want to create a valued and sustainable role for fundraising and development inside Mossbourne. Recruiting to this new post therefore indicates our confidence in the potential of the education we provide and the growing impact we believe we can achieve.

To support and guide the new postholder, we have invested in the advice of an experienced Development Consultant, who will chair the Interview Panel. He will support the successful candidate during the first three years, acting in close liaison with the CEO of the Mossbourne Federation, Peter Hughes. As this new role is pivotal to the successful growth of our programmes, the Development Consultant will work with the successful candidate to ensure that optimal conditions for effective fundraising are created as speedily, creatively and safely as possible, and to the highest levels of professional integrity.

Working for Mossbourne Federation means being part of a community of exceptional practitioners. Colleagues are warm, welcoming and supportive of each other. As one of the country’s leading federations, expectations of staff are high. The Mossbourne Federation engages with, and supports its workforce, thus creating an inspirational working environment which nurtures the development of personal and professional excellence.

Set within the metropolitan borough of Hackney, all Mossbourne Federation academies are in close proximity to London Overground stations, providing a no-fuss commute for colleagues living in other London boroughs. London’s fashionable ‘East and West Ends’, are also only a short distance away.

Federation staff are rewarded through access to a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to;

  • First Rate Professional Development
  • NQT Training Programme
  • Season Ticket Loans
  • MossBike Cycle to work scheme
  • Coaching and Mentoring
  • Employee Assistant Programme
  • Corporate Gym Membership
  • Discounts at local restaurants
  • Recruitment Applicant Awards
  • The Mossbourne Allowance (conditions apply)

If you are passionate about innovative education, have a commitment to personal excellence and are ready for a new challenge, we welcome your application.
